Why "Conversions Went Up" Isn't Proof
Aggregate conversion rate improvement doesn't prove the optimization caused the lift. If the agency launched new ad creative, expanded targeting, and deployed landing page optimization in the same month, the client can't tell which change drove the results. Neither can the agency.
Without a control group, the report is a chart that goes up. It's circumstantial evidence at best. A skeptical client (or their CFO) will ask "how do you know it was the landing page?" and the agency needs a better answer than "the timing lines up."

A monthly optimization report should include four sections in this order.

Notice what this report doesn't include: a list of variants tested, the number of experiments run, or the technical details of the optimization system. The client doesn't care about activity.
